The 14 weekly promoted properties comprise a mix of those located in cosmopolitan cities to others surrounded by lush forests and crystal clear waters, through to those surrounded by desert sands, or culturally-rich heritage relics.

Since its establishment the Anantara brand, part of the Thai Minor International (Mint) group, has grown to comprise 35 stunning properties located in Thailand, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Mozambique, Zambia, the UAE and Qatar, with what seems like a never ending stream of new properties in the pipeline.

According to the company its spas and resorts are specifically sited to ignite the joy of travel with passion and plenty of inspiration.

Anantara socially responsible

These funds are then channeled to organisations providing vital services such as craniofacial surgery for children at the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center at Bangkok’s Chulalongkorn Hospital. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Anantara contributed to a cheetah breeding programme, while in the Maldives it funded the establishment of an eye clinic, and a coral adoption programme.

According to Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spa its CSR programme is now so active and guest participation so high that one good deed takes place at one of its resorts every day of the year.

While the list of ‘good deeds’ undertaken by Anantara is lengthy, perhaps its most high profile is the annual Elephant’s Polo Tournament in Bangkok which over the last 14 years has raised more than US$1.3 million to improve the life of Thailand’s elephants (See: 14th King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament Raises Half A Million Dollars).
