Exports to US bounce back on revised GSP

Water utility signs deal for plant facelift
The capital’s listed water utility, Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA), signed a construction deal yesterday with France’s Vinci Constructions Grands Projects to renovate the Chamkarmon Water Treatment Plan and enlarge its water production capacity from 20,000 cubic metres per day to 52,000 cubic metres.

Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn yesterday defended the government’s stance on the disputed South China Sea, saying Cambodia had acted in an “independent and neutral” manner at the recent Asean Foreign Ministers meeting in Manila, despite accusations that the Kingdom had helped water down a communiqué addressing China’s territorial ambitions in contested waters.
