Indonesia Aims for 5.6 Percent Economic Growth in 2018
Indonesia is aiming for 5.6 percent economic growth in 2018. The government will turn its focus to six sectors to achieve the target. “[There are] six sectors, namely processing industry, particularly non-oil and gas, agriculture, trade, information and communication, construction, and financial services,” the National Development Planning Minister Soemantri Brodjonegoro said yesterday.

Powerphase signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, the state power company of Indonesia, on a phased implementation of the Turbophase Dry Air Injection system. The deployment will begin with a feasibility study at two 50 MW projects, followed by full implementation of 2 GW of additional power at existing PLN assets over the next two years.

The minimum wages for the industrial sector are set on annual basis. Regulation 2017, replaces and repeals Governor Regulation no. 8 of 2016 (Old Regulation). In this column we discuss the new wages set by the Regulation 2017 for each specific industrial sector in Jakarta.
