0:37 | Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has participated in a tree-planting program aimed at restoring at least  200,000 sq.m (about 49,421 acres) of forests across the country.

2:16 | Deputy spokesperson of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), Colonel Sirichan Ngathong, said all relevant government units are working to distribute assistance to flood-hit victims. Flood water has subsided in ten provinces, while ten provinces in Thailand’s north and northeast remain submerged. Cash donations from students of King Prajadhipok’s Institute and Thai Buddhist monks in Nepal, have exceeded Bt264 million (US$7.940 million). Donations can be made through the Office of the Prime Minister using its Krung Thai Bank account 067-0-06895-0.

3:57 | More than 170,000 employers and over 600,000 foreign workers have registered with centers established by the government since July 24. Employers now have 30 days to present their foreign employees for confirmation at 100 temporary services centres established across the country. Interviews must be completed by September 6, 2017, though only 500 interviews a day can be conducted. Migrant workers who pass scrutiny will receive a certificate allowing them to work until end the of March next year.

8:34 | The Thai Youth Orchestra (TYO) has received the award for ‘Outstanding Success in the Symphony Orchestra Category’ by the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna. The Thai Youth Orchestra performed three songs, two of which were composed by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
