The King also urged citizens to attend an exhibition on the late King’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (Sep), which includes items available for purchase from the SUPPORT Arts and Crafts Foundation of Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign.

14:53 | Ang Thong Governor Weerawut Putraserani has participated in a 12-kilometer-long (about 7.5 miles) charity marathon to raise money to donate marathon being run by Artiwara Kongmalai, lead singer of rock band Bodyslam to raise money, for 11 hospitals nationwide.
Ang Thong youth have so far collected Bt607,414 (about US$18,612) from seven districts to donate to the singer.

19:48 | Thailand’s Department of Foreign Trade (DFT) has been told that the US Congress may extend Thailand’s inclusion in the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) programme, which provides preferential treatment for goods 120 developing countries. A decision is expected by the end of the year.
Thailand is the second largest beneficiary of the programme, behind India, accounting for about US$3 billion in preferential trade duties last year.
20:46 | Kasikornbank (KBank) has received approval to establish its Chinese headquarters in Shenzhen. In addition, KBank has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province to facilitate Chinese businesses who wish to invest in Thailand and vice versa.
KBank intends to reach out and connect with Chinese customers using digital technology, rather than opening additional brick and mortar premises.
