•Thailand Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has warned the public against believing everything they read on social media.

• High-speed internet will be extended to 24,700 Thailand villages by the end of this year as part of the government’s drive to install internet throughout the kingdom under the Thailand 4.0 development plan.

• A ferry service has commenced between the royal seaside city of Hua Hin and Pattaya providing a three- to four-hour shortcut to what would otherwise be a five- or six-hour road trip between two of Thailand’s better known visitor centres.

• Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) the free distribution of vitamins and minerals as part of a ‘red cheek Thai girls’ campaign aimed at ensuring Thai women of child-bearing age are healthy leading up to, through, and after pregnancy as part of the second national reproductive health policy.

• The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is steeping up efforts to solve flooding in the Don Mueang district.
