00:41 | Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has delivered a policy address on mobilising reform for the Thailand 4.0 development agenda.

01:44 | Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday asked the public to share their opinion on the future of Thai politics by answering six questions. This is the second time that the PM has asked the public to respond to questions on Thai politics.

03:33 | Pornpech Wichitcholchai, president of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), has declined to comment on the six questions the Prime Minister has asked the public to answer on the future of Thai politics.

04:44 | The government is satisfied with local administrators in following the policies of Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha over the past three years.

05:39 | The Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) has distributed medical supplies and necessities to flood-affected residents in Suphan Buri and Ang Thong provinces. Some residents have been inundated for almost three months.

07:12 | The Ministry of Education (MoE) has incorporated the philosophy of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on unity as a guideline for Thailand 4.0 education reform.

10:43 | The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has agreed to maintain the policy interest rate at 1.5 per cent a year to help maintain Thai economic expansion following strong growth in exports, inbound tourism, and private consumption. However, the MPC noted that income distribution in lower income sectors had not improved, while SMEs had not fully benefited from the economic recovery.

13:06 | Kasikornbank (KBank) plans to invest more than Bt5 billion (about US$150 million) to develop innovative digital services, setting a credit growth target of 5-7 per cent in accordance with the Thai economy, which is expected to grow by 3.7 per cent.

18:00 | The Department of Highways has begin renovating the Vibhavadi Rangsit Road outside Don Mueang Airport following the closure of the airport exit ramp. Officials have been deployed to help direct traffic attempting to access the airport. The new exit ramp is expected to take one year to construct, during which time those using the airport have been advised to allow up to three-hours travel time.

19:34 | The Department of Livestock Development (DLD), Orion Machinery Co. Ltd., and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have launched a campaign to boost the Thai dairy industry.

According to Toru Kaneko, a representative of Orion Machinery, an automatic milking system will be installed in three demonstration farms in Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Mai and Sa Kaeo Province starting in October this year to educate farmers and collect data to see how to improve Thai dairy performance.
