00:48 | The Public Relations Department (PRD) has confirmed that preparations by all agencies involved in the royal cremation are 98-99 per cent complete, particular security and telecommunications arrangements. Meanwhile, related agencies will organise a religious ceremony marking the one-year anniversary of the King’s death on October 13.

03:06 | Construction of royal crematorium replicas across the country are in the final stages of being prepared ahead of the royal cremation.

04:36 | The Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) has held a training session for trainers of volunteer security and traffic wardens during the royal funeral. The program will see 20,000 volunteers trained between October 9th and 19th at four locations. During the ceremony the volunteers will be deployed in the vicinity of the royal crematorium and at funeral flower-laying stations.

According to Kulit Sombatsiri, director-general of the Customs Department, the new law will streamline customs procedures and ensure proper law enforcement and compliance.

18:01| The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) is waiting for the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) to approve a new law on the management of the palm oil industry and oil palm business. The draft law is currently with the Council of State and will possible be forwarded to the National legislative Assembly (NLA) within one year.

19:37 | The first batch of 77 Chinese engineers to work on Thailand’s high-speed train project have passed the Thai Council of Engineers’ (TCE) training and assessment test. The exam include questions on Thai laws, geology, and common natural disasters. A further 400 engineers are currently undergoing training in China.
