00:51 | Thais from across the country continue to make sandalwood flowers for the royal funeral of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 26. On Monday, Central Group executives presented one million sandalwood flowers made by employees of the company and members of the public to Bangkok Governor, Police General Assawin Khwanmueng, while committing to make another two million flowers for distribution to Thais outside of Bangkok.

02:44 | Thais nationwide continue to enroll in the ‘Rao Tam Kwam Dee Duay Hua Jai’, or ‘We Do Good Deeds with Our Hearts’ campaign to honor the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Participants can volunteer to undertake various activities, including making sandalwood flowers for the royal funeral, public relations, assisting in medical services, security surveillance, and traffic management.

Major General  Tantrawanich said the purpose of announcing the ten main points was to allow public discussion ahead of the full plan being announced.

08:12 | Deputy Minister of Defence, General Udomdej Sitabutr, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the National Security Council (NSC), the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Public Health, and Ministry for Digital Economy and Society, that allows the sharing of intelligence between ministries to improve Thailand’s disaster preparedness and overall security.

09:07 | Deputy Prime Minister, General Prawit Wongsuwan, has chaired the fifth meeting of the Committee for State Administration Reforms, which is tasked with devising and implementing solutions to address illegal fishing, and human trafficking.

According to the Deputy Spokesperson for the Royal Thai Army, Colonel Sirichan Ngathong, the meeting also followed up on efforts to address issues flagged by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which will conduct another inspection of Thailand’s civil aviation industry later this month.

13:11 | Chairman of the Election Commission (EC), Supachai Somcharoen, has chaired a meeting to prepare for the next election, and proposed a preliminary timeline for electing members of parliament (MPs), which will be submitted to the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) in December.

14:26 | Deputy governor of Bangkok, Chakkraphan Phiew-ngam, has inspected the construction of a drainage tunnel in Bang Sue which is hoped will significantly reduce flooding across six Bangkok districts during the monsoon season. It is scheduled to commence operating on September 6.

15:29 | The Government Lottery Office (GLO) has warned that it is a criminal offence to alter lottery tickets, adding it had taken action against more than 2,600 lottery agents who had been caught marking up ticket prices. saying it so far taken action against  announced that lottery tickets will be sold at a fixed price to prevent agents from overcharging customers.

17:10 | Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, is attending the Emerging Markets and Developing Countries Dialogue (EMDCD) in Xiamen, China, as a part of the 9th BRICS Summit. Thailand, the only Asean participant, will be joined by four other emerging economies – Egypt, Guinea, Mexico, and Tajikistan — invited by China to participated due to their high economic growth potential and friendly relationships.
