These Terms apply to your use of the Website and all the content therein irrespective of the delivery platform or device you use to access it. The term “Content” shall refer to all the content on the Website except where otherwise indicated. By accessing you are agreeing to these Terms either as an individual or if you are accessing it in the course of your work, then on behalf of the organisation you work for. If you do not have the authority or are not of the age of consent, then you should not continue to use this website.

1.2 We may update these Terms for legal or regulatory reasons or to reflect changes in our services or business practices.
2. Access and Use
2.1 Access is permitted to all the articles provided you comply with the Terms in this Agreement. Registration is required to submit letters, comments, or other material meant for publication on the Website and for accessing material.
2.2 All Content belongs to us and we own all intellectual property rights (including copyright and database rights) and any selection or arrangement of the Content except where stated otherwise. No intellectual property rights in any of the Content are transferred to you, and you may not use any of the Content without written permission.
2.3 You may access the Content for your own personal use or on behalf of the organisation you work for provided you have been properly authorised by your organisation from any device and may store the Content on that device for this purpose.
2.4 You may print single copies of articles from the Content for your personal use.
2.5 You may share articles by using the tools provided on the site or by sending a link to the article by copying and pasting the link of the article you wish to share.
2.6 You may use web crawling technology to search for and link to the Content provided your link does not diminish our ability to generate revenue from the Content.
2.7 You may publish online, the original headline of any article contained in the Content, and provide a link to the article and up to the first 180 characters of the article. Any summary or quote is to be attributed to the Website. Quotes are to be no longer than thirty (50) words, and will include the journalist’s name and provide a hypertext link wherever possible to the original article.
2.8 You may not:
2.8.1 use our articles to promote or endorse any product or service without prior written permission from us;
2.8.2 link to our Website if you imply that we are endorsing any product or services or you misrepresent your relationship with us;
2.8.3 link to our Website if your site contains any material that infringes any intellectual property or any other rights of any person/s; or
2.8.4 link to our Website if your site contains any offensive material.
3.2 Upon registration, the information you provide must be accurate and complete. It is your responsibility to update that information and maintain changes. We are entitled to rely on any information you provide to us.
3.3 Each registration is for a single user only. Your user name and password shall not be shared with anyone else including users within the same organisation. We may cancel or suspend your access to the Website if we believe you are sharing your user name and password with another party enabling that party to access the Website under your user name and password.
3.4 You are responsible for all usage of the Website made by yourself or anyone else using your user name and password. 4. User Generated Content
4.1 If you submit any material termed User Generated Content (“UGC”) that you wish to be published on the Website, you are agreeing to comply with the following rules:
4.1.1 You should note that UGC is submitted by users over whom we have no control over so we cannot therefore guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of any UGC.
4.1.2 You are the author of the UGC and that UGC does not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third parties or is in any way libelous, defamatory, threatening, abusive or otherwise unlawful;
4.1.3 You do not post or link to any site containing any form of advertising or promotion or spam;
4.1.4 You do not post or transmit any UGC that contains any software viruses, files or code designed to interfere with the normal functioning of the Website or that stores or collects other users’ personal data;
4.1.5 You agree that we have the right (but not obligation) to publish, re-use, archive, modify, delete or commercially exploit that UGC in whole or part as we see fit without any requirement to pay you for this and with or without attribution to you unless agreed otherwise; and
4.1.6 You agree to grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use any UGC you publish in whole or in part in any manner and for any purpose whatsoever and without further obligation to you, and to waive any moral rights that you may have in regard to the UGC where so allowed by law.
4.1.7 We reserve the right to comment on any UGC submitted.
4.1.8 We reserve the right to remove any UGC if we are notified or have reason to believe that it is potentially misleading, untrue, offensive, unlawful, infringes third party rights or is potentially in breach of these Terms.
5. Third Party Sites and Services
5.1 The Website may contain links to other Internet websites or online and mobile services provided by independent third parties, including websites of our advertisers and sponsors (”Third Party Sites”).
5.2 The Website contains advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the Website complies with international and national law. The Website is not responsible for any error or inaccuracy in advertising or sponsorship material.
5.3 Copyright in any software that is made available for download from the Website belongs to the Website or its suppliers. Your use of the software is governed by the terms of any license agreement that may accompany or be included with the software. We are not responsible for any technical or other issues that may happen if you download any software from the Website.
6. Intellectual Property Rights of Others
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and request that our visitors do the same. Pursuant to Section 512(c) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Title 17, United States Code, a copyright owner or its authorized agent may submit a notification for believed copyright infringement based on material that is residing on the Site.

- a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that (i) you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which such address is located or, if your address is outside of the United States, to any judicial district in which Climate Central may be found, and (ii) you will accept service of process from the claimant who provided Climate Central’s designated agent with notification of the alleged infringement in accordance with the DMCA, or an agent of such person.
7.1 While we make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the Content is accurate and complete, we provide the Content for general information purposes and on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranty, express or implied.
7.2 We accept no financial responsibility to you arising from your use of the Content or the use of any Third Party Site on the Website. In no circumstances do we accept responsibility for your use of Third Party Sites or in respect of any Third Party Products. None of the information we provide should be deemed to constitute an offer or provision of professional or expert advice.

8.1 If one of our users is impersonating you by using your real name in their registered profile, please let us know and we will take action as necessary. We reserve the right to reject any user name that is deemed inappropriate.
9. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction

To the fullest legal extent possible in jurisdictions outside the Republic of Singapore, the courts of the Republic of Singapore will have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of, under, or in connection with these Terms.
10.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms, which will remain in full force and effect.
10.2 We reserve our rights and any failure by us to exercise any right or remedy under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy. Headings in these Terms are for convenience only and will have no legal meaning or effect.
11.1 You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, penalties and costs, awards, losses and/or expenses arising out of your use of the Content and access to the Website.
